Hi Everybody!
Throwback Thursday this week is a picture which is of 2 very special people. 2 people who quite frankly, have been my rock for the past few months, let alone years! We've all known each other since we were practically born! (Well not literally!) We've had a million ups and downs and we've had laughter and tears, oh man the tears!
I feel very lucky to have such amazing friends as these 2, going on travels and adventures all together, well that just makes my life amazing!
Slimming World Journey Update #3
by
Em

It's been a while since I posted about my slimming world journey, and truth be told, the reason is I've been slipping dramatically. But a month ago, along with Bex and Lisa, I took the plunge and rejoined a local group, run by our fab girl Em!
So, it's taken me a bit longer to get my head into this time around, but after a few words of encouragement from Em, I'm well on my way now. This week, I haven't been great, as I've been really poorly, but I am trying to make the best choices I can and I'm even 'synning' my throat sweets!
Last week, I had a few events which I knew would result in a gain, and truthfully, I gained 2lbs! I had a 4 year olds birthday party, which involved cake and crisps...you can imagine. I'm hoping I've lost it this week and a bit more, but while some people will look down on the fact I slipped up, one of the biggest things for me, was I went to group, and took the gain. I spoke to Em, and with the support of her and the other girls, I'm feeling more positive about it all! I'm more than determind to get my target, which is now only 3 stone away, unless I decided to lower it again!

Why I'm Happy Being Single
by
Em
- 14:09
Today's
post is a post that's a little bit more personal. Something that I've
been wanting to talk about for a while but couldn't really find the
words. Until this week! Back in June, my life was flipped upside
down. My relationship of nearly 5 years came crashing down around me.
Just like that, it was over. There was nothing we could do, there was
just no way of working it out, going back to how we used to be. My
heart was broken, mind a mess, life just sucked.
Looking
back, I thought I couldn't carry on, how could the person you loved
and depended on just go. Who would I wake up to in the morning now?
Cook dinner for? Ring on my lunch break, just to see if they were ok?
All my dreams of building a future, a family, marriage, buying our
first home together were all gone. I told myself I'd never find
someone else, no one would ever love me, and worse still, I couldn't
love anyone ever again. How silly was I!?
In
hindsight now, being in that relationship was not a healthy thing for
either of us. We were arguing more than anything, our communication
was poor, and 3rd parties were involved. I won't go too
deep into what happened, as it's not really fair to do so, but all I
will say is, I'll never trust someone the same way ever again.
Fast
forward to present day. Remember I said earlier about how I wouldn't
be able to carry on? Yeah, well, I did! I took some time out to focus
on me and what I needed/wanted. Something I hadn't really cared about
for a while. So far, I've lost 4 stone, 3 stone to go till my target,
something that I'm extremely proud of! I've gained a lot of
confidence, which was seriously lacking. In turn of that, I've
started going out a lot more, again something that was seriously
lacking in my life. My friendships have gotten stronger, and I've
gained some very close friends along with that. Some who I would
literally do anything for.
Why
am I writing this post? Well, today, I got asked 'How can you be so
happy single?'. Well apart from the above? I just am. It's taken me a
while, but my dad once told me 'you can't love someone until you
learn to love yourself', and truth be told, I didn't love myself. I
still don't, I'm still 'finding' myself. It sounds sad, but I truly
do feel like I 'lost' who I was. Interestingly, a friend of mine
commented on this. When I spoke to them they told me that when they
first met me, they got the total wrong impression. “I thought you
were a miserable person who wanted nothing to do with us lot”. To
which my reply “And now?”....”You're a lovely girl and a great
laugh”. If you hadn't guessed, when they first met me I was with my
ex. What more can I say?
Am
I ready for another relationship yet? Maybe. I'm not looking for it.
I'm not searching. If someone comes along, then it happens. But for
now, I'm happy being single, being me! Truth be told, it's slightly
scary, the thought of 'loving' someone again. When you've been hurt
by something, you're obviously going to be more cautious around it
the next time around, relationships are no different. So who knows
what will happen, obviously, I will want a relationship again, but
for now, I'm happy! :)
Arbonne Primer Review
by
Em
- 15:47
Hi everyone!
Recently, I've been learning more and more about a brand called Arbonne. A brand which I discovered back in July and is becoming a firm favourite brand of mine. Arbonne is a brand, which sells Make-up, Skincare, Heath and Nutrition and more.
Arbonne was started up over 30 years ago, and is a company that doesn't sell on the high street. It's a company that doesn't test on animals, vegan certified and doesn't use harmful chemicals. They describe there products as 'friendly to the earth' and this is something that really attracts me to the brand, as well as the name which comes from a Village in Switzerland, which means 'Beautiful Tree'. I found this lovely, because after speaking to some people who represent Arbonne, this is exactly what this company is, a beautiful tree, expanding it's branches out and helping people.
Recently, I was offered the chance to try out a few products for Arbonne, and this primer has to be one of the best products I've tried. Not just Arbonne products, but within all beauty products I've used in recent times. This luxurious makeup primer glides on to visually diminish the appearance of fine lines and pores, creating a smooth surface. And this is exactly what it does, the only other primer I've known that comes close to this one is the Porefessionals.
This Arbonne Primer is classes as a premium make-up product, but is actually sold at a lower cost of just £27, which is an amazing price, given the quality. You also, really do not need to use a lot of this product, so I would imagine this would last me a rather long time!
This primer is on my wish list, and come payday, I will be ordering this without a doubt!
Have any of you guys tried Arbonne before? What are your thoughts?
Slimming World Update #2
by
Em
- 15:58
Hi everyone!
I haven't updated about my slimming world journey for a while, so I thought I'd do a small update for you guys!
Since my last update, I've been quite bad and have skipped a few classes, I have however been weighing at home and have continued to lose weight! I'm now nearing the 2 and half stone target, and this makes me extremely happy! This will be the most I've managed to lose with Slimming World ever, and it's given me the boost to carry on losing.
I've had a few Non-Scale victories as they're called recently, one of those being, my Bridesmaid Dress for my brother's wedding needing to be taken in, due to it now being slightly too big. When I first got this dress, it was slightly too small, and I promised myself I would fit into before the wedding. Well I've achieved that and more! I'm not at target, not by a long shot, but I know I feel a lot more happier in that dress now then I did, and I cannot wait to wear it for the wedding!
Another non-scale victory for me, was having to take a dress back to the shop, due to it being too big! I'd brought a size smaller than I would have before and even that was too big! Making me 3/4 sizes smaller than when I started! Which is, for me, an amazing achievement.
I've recently also blown the dust off my treadmill and started running again, after downloading the above album. I can now run/jog straight for 30 minutes straight, which for some doesn't sound a lot, but considering I once couldn't run 2ft, I'm shocked this is me!
So there we go, I'm hoping next time I update you all, I'll be nearer the 3 stone mark, and then I think I might finally have a firm target of my final goal weight in mind!

Slimming World Update #1
by
Em
- 11:05
Hi Everyone!
Back in February, I made the decision to join my local slimming world class. I have now currently lost 1stone 8lbs with slimming world and 2 stone 3 lbs in total since the start of the year!
I document my journey through instagram and decided to follow this through onto my blog! I know a few fellow bloggers currently follow slimming world also, and thought I'd share with my lovely followers.
Now I am no where near where I want to be, but I'm closer than what I was! A year ago, I would have never dreamed of wearing something like this! I'm much happier with the way I look and have a bit more confidence when I go out now, but like I say, I have about 2/3 more stone to go till target, but I am going to get there!
If any of you follow slimming world/have an instagram account, please do let me know, I'd love to check them out!

The Blogger Interview Tag
by
Em
- 09:42
I was recently
tagged by the beautiful Bex in a tag called The Blogger
Interview. In the tag, a few different questions are asked about blogging and
you have to give your answer. I've been struggling to think of posts lately so
was ecstatic to be tagged in this!
How did you get
into blogging?
I got into
blogging after watching a few youtubers and following there blogs, Zoella being
a main one if I'm honest. I then started talking to more and more bloggers, one
of who being Bex, and my blog just grew from there. I wanted to create my own
place on the wide web, to express my thoughts and share my life!
What advice would
you give to a blogger just starting out?
Interesting one.
The first thing, be careful when picking your blog title. I found recently,
that when I wanted to expand my blog from just beauty, it was hard to move
forward due to having 'beauty' within the name!
I have to also
say, blogging is a hobby for most, but those who want 'free' products/money for
writing, you need to put the work in. I spoke with a few lovely bloggers about
this a couple of weeks back, blogging can be hard work, so you need to put in
what you want to get out of it.
Also, network!
Never underestimate how talking to bloggers/companies, using
Instagram/Twitter/Facebook can help you expand!
How has your blog
changed since you started writing it?
Well to start
with, my blog is currently going under a 'rebranding'. I wanted to switch from
just beauty, to more of a lifestyle/beauty/fashion blog, focusing more on
general posts. I also plan to start incorporating my slimming world
journey into my blog too!
What would be your
dream campaign?
My dream campaign
- working with an amazing make-up brand! As it happens, this is in the process
of happening! I’ll explain more on this soon!
What advice would
you give to PR’s wanting to approach you for a campaign?
Be clear about
what you want from me. Use my name and make sure it is the right one. Don’t
waste my time by skirting around certain questions – say yes/no and we will all
know where we stand. < Had to copy this from Bex, it's spot on!
Do you have a plan
for your blog?
I do indeed. I am
planning on completing the rebranding, moving my blog forward, and bringing
more of my life into my blog! I plan to network more, and hopefully colab with
a few more people :)
What do you think
about rankings?
I'll be honest, I
don't look to much into my rankings.
I would like to
tag Sarah from Loved By Sarah, Lisa from Lisahh-Jayne and
Hannah from Beginners Beauty.

Throwback Thursday.
by
Em
- 06:45
Hi Everyone!
So todays #throwbackthursday is an interesting one. This photo was taken last year on my birthday, nearly one year ago. When I look back on this photo, I remember myself and what a mess I was in. I had just lost my job, had no money what so ever, and had to rely upon my boyfriend to keep afloat. I look back on this photo quite a bit, because at the time, I thought there was no way out of my mess. I thought I'd never find another job, and I'd end up losing everything. One year on? I'm in a great place! Good job, great colleagues, friends and family, and maybe some great things on the horizon. I think the point of me posting this, was just to let everyone know, that even when you're at your lowest, things can get better, In fact they will! I am guilty of needing to be told this once in a while, and my friend Bex is a great support in doing this. Since this photo was taken, I've booked a few holidays, joined slimming world and lost over a stone in 2 months, gained myself a great job and have well and truly moved on from the mess that I was last year.
Don't ever give up, because everything happens for a reason :)
New Beginings...
by
Em

Hi Everyone!
Some of you might know me from Rosellabeauty a while back and I've decided I wanted to venture into a new world. The thing with naming your blog with Beauty in the name, is the fact you have to restrain yourself from posting anything other than beauty, and being honest to myself, while I still love all things beauty, I wanted to be able to post other ramblings too. Hence, the new blog!
A new look, a new feel and a new start. I've made/making some big changes in my life, so a new blog is fitting. Out with the old, in with the new is the way I see it. To some it may sound silly, but blogging is something the I can relax with, and with this new blog, it's exactly what I plan to do!
So, to all my old readers hello! and to my new readers welcome!
